Is there a clear online map of Budapest community clubs?
There's no classic map, because most clubs aren't tied to a fixed address. Instead, there's a filterable, category-based list of every Budapest community.

Honest answer: no, there isn't a classic map with pins on it right now, and there's a specific reason for that. What there is instead is a category-filterable list that in practice solves the same problem you'd want a map for: a quick overview of what exists and where.
Why isn't there simply a map?
Because most Budapest communities have no fixed address. A running club starts in a different park depending on the season, a board game night rotates between Budapest bars, and a hiking community heads out of the city entirely. A single pinned point would misrepresent where you'll actually find them next.
Only about two percent of our clubs have a fixed, district-tied location, the rest regularly change venue. A map would either falsely oversimplify that reality, or go stale constantly.
What replaces the map on our site?
- Category filtering, which is faster than scanning a map
- A search you can use for a name or a description
- Every club's own Instagram or website link, where the current location is always kept up to date
- Where there is a fixed location or a regular time, we list it on the club's page
This approach works better than a static map because you're not deciding which pin is closest to you, but what activity you're looking for. The location comes from the club's own channel anyway, and that's always more current than anything we could maintain.
When would a map actually be useful?
When you're specifically looking for location-bound venues with a fixed address, not events. Budapest has twenty-three districts, and there's a good chance there's a community near you, just that the easiest way to find it may be by activity rather than geography.

How do you browse most effectively on our site?
- Start with the category, not the district, since most clubs move around anyway
- Check the club's description for a stated regular time or location
- Click through to the club's own page, since it always has the most current location
- If you specifically want a club in your district, check the district field on the club's page
Is there a map of Budapest community clubs?
There's no classic map with pins, because most clubs aren't tied to a fixed address and regularly change venue. There is a category-filterable, searchable list that serves the same purpose.
Why isn't a Google Map enough to mark the clubs?
Because a static map would go stale the moment a club changes venue or time, which happens often. The club's own Instagram or website link is always more accurate than a fixed point on a map.
How do I find a club in my district?
If a club has a fixed location, it's shown on the club's page. If it's not filled in, that means the club meets at varying locations, and it's worth checking their own page for the exact spot.
